EASTSIDE 10@10
10 weeks of Eastside Sunday Worship at 10AM, July 5 – September 6
Throughout the summer we are exploring the importance of Christian community while intentionally seeking to foster relationships internally within our church. With this in mind, we have decided to intentionally foster community at Eastside by temporarily, throughout the summer months of July and August, holding just one worship gathering each Sunday at 10AM. It is our hope that bringing the whole church together these 10 Sundays this summer will allow for new connections to be made, new friendships to emerge, and a new bond to be created within the body of people who call Eastside home!
10AM SERVICE CONTINUES THIS FALL
After much conversation, Eastside will continue to hold a 10AM service on Sundays. It is an exciting time at Eastside, and we hope that you will continue to join us at 10AM!
MEAL TRAIN MINISTRY
Are you a talented chef? Do you command a kitchen like a pro? Can you throw a frozen lasagna in the oven like a champ? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, we need you to join the Meal Train Ministry! When a member of our community has a baby, has a surgery, experiences a loss, etc. we want to provide a meal to help make life a little simpler. If you are occasionally available to bring a meal to a fellow Eastsider who may be in need, email Brit Eyster for more information!
NEXT EASTSIDE COOKOUT (POOL PARTY EDITION)
Saturday, September 12 from 4– 6p.m. hosted by Isaac Dillard
Mark your calendars! Welcome to all who want to get to know more fellow Eastsiders. Main food provided but guests are asked to bring a side, dessert or beverage to share. Bring your water wings and your dancin’ shoes, this Community Cookout will be hosted by the pool and DJ Maestro will be spinning some family-friendly pop, rock, and dance tunes! RSVP to Jess Cusick.
KIDS COLLECTIVE NEWS
School is back! That means that Kids Collective is grouped up in classes for the school year. Each class list can be found on the door of their classroom. Questions? Email Stephanie!
Also, each week kids age 3-10 will be bringing home Parent Resources to further their spiritual connection between the home and church. Feel free to speak with Stephanie if you have questions about these resources!
MINISTRY SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
Worship
Interested in sharing your gifts of music with Eastside’s Worship Ministry or want to help run our Sunday morning worship presentations? Be sure to mark you interest on our connection card or contact Brent Huckaby directly to learn more about these opportunities.
Justice
Eastside’s Justice Ministry is looking for new volunteers for our Sunday Meal Ministry! The Meal Ministry currently lasts from 11:30am-12:30pm on Sundays and entails distributing meals, helping in the Community Closet, and being a bright smile to greet the members of our community who enter our fellowship space during this time. If this is an area of interest for you, please contact Dave Logeman for more information!
Kids Collective
Ever wonder where all the kids go during the sermon each week? At Eastside we value the role children have in our community and strive to create age-appropriate gatherings for them on Sunday mornings. Our Kids Collective classes are currently placing Sunday School teachers for the school year and we are in need of more volunteers to be present with the youngest of our community each week. If you love kids, are looking for a way to plug in and find a truly rewarding volunteer experience, email Stephanie Moffitt and let her know you are interested!
Hospitality Team
A huge part of Sunday mornings at Eastside is making sure that every person who walks through our doors feels warmly welcomed by a smiling face, a tasty bagel, and a warm cup of coffee. We are in need of some enthusiastic volunteers to prepare our coffee bar on Saturday evenings/Sunday mornings to help us welcome and honor our members, visitors, and friends! SERVE WITH EASTSIDE
Looking for ways to get plugged in and serve with Eastside? We consistently need more volunteers each Sunday. It’s a great way to get involved & meet new people!
