Bring a side, drink, lawn games, & friends! – RSVP on Facebook or in Church Community Builder so we can get a rough count for food.
Special thanks to Greg Jones for hosting our kick-off to the Oakhurst Men’s Ministry. We’ll be planning more events in the next couple months. For more information and to get involved, contact Greg -or Trent Lloyd.
The Lloyd’s are taking some time off to rest and recover from the demanding first year of planting Eastside Church. It has been an amazing year and God has been extraordinarily good, but they’re taking the last 3 weeks of July to rest, recover, and renew. They will be back the first week of August energized and ready to hit the ground running. Trent Lloyd will cover as Assistant Pastor in Charge working full-time in their absence. Please direct any questions, issues or pastoral care needs to him at trent@eastsideatl.org.
As always, we need help on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 to clean the church in preparation for worship. There is a sign up sheet at the information table for those able to contribute. This is an easy way to serve as well as to get connected with others in the church.
Eastside Church Arts Ministry is helping to start a public library in Ghana this year! We are seeking to collect as many books as possible by this October. The books can be any genre (and for any age), as an entire village will have access to this library.

Small groups are the way we connect with each other at Oakhurst. Currently we have 5 groups that meet at various times and locations during the week. You can jump in at any time! Groups gather to fellowship, encourage each other, study scripture and pray for each other. Contact Elisabeth Lloyd if you’d like join. Currently one of the groups is studying the book, Bad Girls of the Bible: And What We Can Learn From Them. It meets Tuesday nights at Deb Johnson’s home. Contact Deb if you’re interested in joining.
