Thanks to all who made our Eastside Church 1 Year Anniversary Celebration last Sunday such an amazing success! Over 100 folks (including pets) came out for a great evening of food, fellowship and recreation. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for year 2 of Eastside Church!! Remember – we are still a baby in the incubator – please keep praying for our church’s growth and viability and continue to invite your friends, family and neighbors to join us!
We’ll be having another round of covenant membership classes in the near future. If you’ve been attending Oakhurst for awhile and would like to join our community through covenant membership, or if you have questions about it, email tim(at)eastsideatl.org or sign up at the info table.
Calling all handy men and women! We’d like to form a maintenance team that will help maintain the church building and property. Contact Trent Lloyd if can to serve in this way. – trent(at)eastsideatl.org
Small groups are the way we connect with each other at Oakhurst. If you are interested in learning more about or joining an Oakhurst Small Group please contact Elisabeth Lloyd at Elisabeth(at)eastsideatl.org. Currently we have 6 groups that meet at various times and locations during the week. You can jump in at any time! Groups gather to fellowship, encourage one another, study scripture and pray for one another.
Eastside Church Arts Ministry is helping to start a public library in Ghana this year! We are seeking to collect as many books as possible by this October. The books can be any genre (and for any age), as an entire village will have access to this library.
We always need help on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 to clean the church in preparation for worship. There is a sign up sheet at the information table for those able to contribute. This is an easy way to serve as well as to get connected with others in the church.
We’ve recently started both Men’s and Women’s Ministries at Oakhurst. If you’d like to get involved or just have questions about these new ministries, please contact either Roxanne Melendez for Women’s – roxanniemarie(at)hotmail.com or Greg Jones for Men’s – gregoryjones631(at)comcast.net or visit the information table after worship.
