OUR LIFE TOGETHER

We are going through the lost-and-found box today and giving away all unclaimed items. Please come check it out even if you don’t think you may have lost anything.

Maria Carr seeks volunteers to be part of a Care Team for her homeless outreach through Intown Collaborative Ministries (www.intowncm.org). Each Care Team would consist of 2 – 3 people from a church, who would be matched with one homeless client. Teams would meet with the client once a month to hang out, grab coffee, play sports, engage in hobbies, and more. The goal is to provide an opportunity for the homeless client to connect with people in the community. If you are interested in getting involved, please see Maria after worship or email her at maria@intowncm.org.

Make plans to attend our special Ash Wednesday evening service next week, on Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m.

We recognize that some of our church family and visitors may have special dietary requirements. To that end, our weekly communion elements always include a gluten-free wafer option, as well as unfermented juice for our communion wine.

We recently commemorated our six-month anniversary with 57 members of our congregation making covenant agreements to the church. We want to grow even more every week. Please continue to spread the word to your family, friends, and neighbors, and co-workers about Eastside Church, and invite them to a worship service.

Eastside Church is active on Facebook and Twitter. To stay up to date on our latest news and announcements, join us in the social media universe.

Thursday nights at Eastside Church are the place to be for fellowship and fun. We clean the church at 6:30 p.m. With at least four helpers, we usually finish in about one hour. This is one of our most important service ministries, as we don’t hire housekeeping crews. Email Elisabeth Lloyd (elisabeth@eastsideatl.org) to volunteer. The Eastside Church arts group also meets at 6:30 p.m. for creative activities including painting, crafting, and writing. For more info and to be added to the arts group email updates, contact Tyler Jackson (tyler@eastsideatl.org) or Natalie Jackson (natalie@eastsideatl.org). Stick around to hear our worship band practice at 7:00; afterward, the band often heads out to a nearby pub or restaurant, and all are invited to join them.
