Christmas Justice Offering
Every year Eastside Church participates in a justice offering. The purpose of the Christmas Justice Offering is to alleviate suffering while doing good in our world. Traditionally we have allotted roughly half of that money to a domestic need and the other half to international work.
This year, our domestic offering will be divided among our domestic Ministry Partners: East Atlanta Kids Club, Branan Towers, Action Ministries, New American Pathways and United Methodist Children’s Home. You can learn more about these partnerships here.
On the international front, starting back in 2012, Eastside began developing a partnership with a small village named Tickolette on the island of La Gonave in Haiti. Previous Christmas offerings have helped fund teachers’ salaries, start a goat farming program and ensure food for students throughout the year. You can learn more about that partnership here.
To give now go online to https://eastsideumc.ccbchurch.com/w_give_online.php and in the dropdown menu click the appropriate designation. If you would like send in checks or give in worship, please memo your checks “Christmas Justice Offering”. If you would like to designate your gift to either the domestic or international side, please memo your check “Domestic” or “International”. We hope you will participate in whatever way you can by financially supporting our goal of $18,000. Join Eastside’s mission to practice resurrection as we continue to strive to be a formidable force for good in our world today!
In this season of waiting, let us work toward an earth that points toward the ways of God.
