Advent Photo-A-Day
The Christmas holidays are often a busy whirlwind and can come and go before we even realize it. This year, Eastside church invites you to enter this season of Advent with intention and awareness. As we eagerly anticipate the coming of Christ we encourage you to create space amidst the busyness of this holiday season, to watch and wait for the ways God is coming near to us. One tangible way that you can join Eastside in this is through the advent photo-a-day project. We invite you to join us and practice paying attention by posting a photo that captures how you experience the word of the day. Post your picture on Facebook and tag Eastside church or @eastsideumc on Twitter.
You do not have to be a great photographer to participate, and no explanation is needed, unless you want to. We hope that this will be a small way we can practice paying attention and be intentional during this season of advent. And we also hope that you will be inspired and connected as a church community by the ways others are experiencing this season of advent.
If you want to connect with others near and far of the United Methodist Church in this practice, tag Rethink Church in your photo on Facebook, or on twitter @umcrethinkchurch with #rethinkchurch and #rethinkchristmas. e can practice paying attention and be intentional during this season of advent. And we also hope that you will be inspired and connected as a church community by the ways others are experiencing this season of advent.
