We have parking directly in front of our worship space at 630 East Lake Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. The East Lake Marta Station is 0.8 miles away and is a nice 15-20 minute walk on a warm day.
Wear what is comfortable for you. Some people will wear a suit jacket, others will wear sundresses, and others will wear tattoos, jeans and sandals.
Each Sunday morning around 10:40am the community of Eastside Church gathers together for a time of fellowship as we enjoy freshly brewed coffee and bagels. If you are new to our community then this is an excellent time to meet some great folks and get acclimated to our worship space.
If you have babies, we have professional child care. If you have children, we have special kid’s worship in Oakland. Upon arrival you will be given the opportunity to register your children and then to drop them off in Oakland. Later you will be given an opportunity to bring them back into worship to participate in Holy Communion.
Youth are invited to be a part of our worship together. It is our dream to launch a youth ministry in the future.
At about 10:55am folks begin to migrate into our worship space where our service starts at 11:00am. Our worship services usually consist of music, prayers, scripture readings, a message/teaching, Holy Communion every week and sometimes a baptism. While we take worship very seriously at Eastside Church the mood is comfortable, not stuffy. Our pastors try to use language that maintains faithfulness to the historic Christian faith, but is also understandable and applicable to those who aren’t familiar with Christianity.
