Ways to Connect, Grow, & Serve Together
TICOLETTE SHOE DRIVE // Collection ends this coming Saturday, September 6th, during the Haiti Gallery Night // We will be collecting new and very gently used shoes for school children in Ticolette // They’ve requested sneakers/tennis shoes as they help protect kids’ feet // All children’s & youth sizes needed // This is a great way to get kids involved in justice // Talk to Daphne Fowler with questions.
HAITI GALLERY NIGHT // “Walk in My Shoes: Beginning the Journey of Partnership” // Saturday, September 6th from 5-7 pm // Come out to experience La Gonave and see photos, hear music and interviews, and other inspired artwork // Artists are welcome to contribute // The gallery night will be the last chance to donate shoes for the school children of Ticolette // Email [email protected] with questions.
OPEN TABLE DINNER // RSVP by Monday, September 8th // Our next gathering is on Saturday, September 20th from 4:30-6:30 // Tim & Elisabeth Lloyd’s // This is great for those who are new to the community & would like to meet some other folks and get plugged in // Main dish is provided, but please bring a favorite side to share// Professional childcare provided // RSVP to [email protected] for address & meal details.
EASTSIDE ART WORKSHOP – SOUND + MOVEMENT // Sunday, September 14th, from 1:00– 3:30PM at the church // Join the Eastside Arts Ministry at our inaugural workshop event where we will explore some fun collaboration with sound and movement // Our own Timothy Hand will be leading the workshop // This event is open to the public and is kid friendly // Find more info about the workshop here.
EAST ATLANTA VILLAGE STRUT // Saturday, September 27th // 9:00 am – 5:00 pm // Help Eastside be a part of this community event by volunteering to serve at our booth, walking in the parade, volunteering with children’s activities, and enjoying the festivities throughout the day // Plan to join us as we walk in the parade through East Atlanta Village, especially if you have an Eastside t-shirt // We’ll be handing out our Eastside swag throughout the parade // Contact [email protected] to be involved // Learn more general info about the event at www.eastatlantastrut.com
